Review of Monterosa Ski

The following has been copied from a posting to the Resorts forum thread, by Scully. Bear in mind that it was not originally intended to be a full resort review, so may cover a narrow area of interest.

The Monterosa area is a great place especially if you like cruising all day on quiet slopes (quiet compared to a lot of Europe nowadays). It certainly rates in my top 5.

I have stayed at The Residence in Gressoney (see Crystal brochure) which is right by the chair leading into the area. It is a slow chair though and most people still get a bus to Stafal up the road which gets them into the heart of things a bit quicker. Other hotels and bars are also around this area.

We stayed in Champoluc year before last which is in the next valley. It is easier to access the area and feel it is a better base all in all. Restaurants are limited, as most are in the hotels.
