Review of Madonna di Campiglio
News 2013/14: There is now a marketing alliance between the Folgarida-Marilleva, Campiglio and Pinzolo lift companies as “Skiarea Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta - Val di Sole Val Rendena”. This has made two differences
1. Lifts and runs renumbered.
Folgarida-Marilleva (unchanged): lifts 1-26 and pistes 1-36.
Madonna di Campiglio: lifts 31-58 and pistes 45-93.
Pinzolo: lifts 60-72 and pistes 100-118.
(When I visited this February notice boards around Madonna’s local area still showed old piste maps with the old numbers, but the piste markers had all been altered.)
2. New whole area pass, intermediate in price between local passes and the Superskirama pass that also includes, among others, Adamello Ski (i.e. Passo Tonale) and little Pejo. Also reduced-price day extensions of local passes to whole area.
(The “whole area” pass available through my tour operator - Crystal - was the Superskirama one, which was fine with me because I did want to take advantage of their day excursion to take a look at Passo Tonale while I was within reach.)
