Review of Gressoney-la-Trinité

Loved this resort! Long runs graded red but not like French reds, much more gentle. The runs are nearly all quite long so minimal time spent on lifts, you really can get straight up to the top quite easily and then ski/snowboard all the way down on uncrowded pistes. The mountain restaurants are all quite basic but really good value and there are plenty of them.  The resort itself is quiet, just a few bars and I think 3 restaurants, we ate at Castore and food, service and wine all excellent.
Travelled with Esprit, staying at Hotel Valverde.  Childcare, location, food and wine all excellent. Kids beginner group skiing red runs by the end of the week!
I would highly recommend this resort to anyone, family, couples or those looking for off piste.
