Review of Bormio
While known to those who watch Ski Sunday, Bormio features less in the guidebooks. Which is fine by me, as it is a great place to ski, with a long season. It isn’t for all - doorstep skiing is limited, the town not particularly Alpine (but very charming nonetheless) and the 50km of skiing suits intermediates better than beginners or advanced. But you can (if the snow is good) ski from 3000m to 1225m, you can catch a 20 minute bus to the charming Santa Caterina and ski there, and the town has plenty to offer.
