Summary
Smuggs hits the family target squarely, with a constant round of early-evening activities, sympathetic instructors, comprehensive childcare, a generally child-friendly layout and some long, quiet, easy runs. Those not afflicted with children may find the resort a bit overpowering. But Smuggs has satisfying and varied slopes spread across three woody mountains, including an ever-increasing number of new glades. And the base ‘village’ is about the nearest thing you’ll find in the US to a French-style purpose-built resort, with lots of comfortable condos.
