We’re posting a few updates from our readers as and when we receive them ...

So here’s the latest from Banff, Canada – posted by Cheeky on 4 January:

Hey all.  There was about 17cms last week over the 3 mountains area. New Year’s eve morning temperatures hit a balmy -27c (I swear I froze to the quad chair). The sun has been out since and the temps have been slowly rising. Today in resort it has been minus 4 – of course the down side is that some of the runs are looking bare, with rocks are coming through, especially on Sunshine. Norquay is faring better as it’s much quieter. Snow is forecast for the next 3 days and we’ve had steady flurries all day on Sunshine. As I type it’s started in Banff.

Run wise, 95% are open and we are praying for a heavy dumping higher up.  Goats Eye mountain is suffering the most, with a lot of the technical blacks closed.

I will update again in a few days ...
